Show Statement From the Artist:
" Forms of Belonging
These three paintings were created independently and were never intended to form a series. Seen together, however, they reveal an expanding visual language. Rather than following a single style or concept, they reflect different ways of approaching the same act of painting.
Although they all begin with an emotional experience that gradually becomes spatial, each painting follows its own path and finds its own visual language. One grows from structure, another from the rhythms of nature and cycles of transformation, and another from discovery. Together, they show that these approaches are not separate directions or stages of evolution, but equally meaningful ways of giving form to experience.
The spaces that emerge are never predetermined. They develop through the process of painting, becoming places that invite reflection rather than explanation. Whether they suggest architecture, landscape, or an imagined environment, they are shaped as much by emotion as by form.
Together, these works explore the spaces we carry within us and the ways they continue to shape who we are. Although they are not paintings of
specific places, they are shaped by the experience of living between cultures and by an ongoing search for where and how we belong."
