THE CATHEDRAL - BUILT BY WOMEN, MADE FOR ALL
The Cathedral was created to provide an inspiring space to work and gather. We are a gorgeous 1930's refurbished church that serves as a boutique event venue, art gallery, and co-working space. We welcome all of Austin's diverse community and our current members work in a range of industries including but not limited to tech, marketing, PR, consumer goods, event planning, mental health and, of course, art + design.
MEET OUR TEAM
We are artists, entrepreneurs, and marketing experts with event curation and production experience. Above all, we are passionate about helping others succeed pursuing their passion and vision for one-of-a-kind events. We are believers of collaboration and have created many opportunities for our network of artists through our efforts with our sister-company, atxGALS, Austin's largest all-women local visual artist collective. In efforts to find a place to call home, The Cathedral was born.
Through this gorgeous space, we will continue to give back to our community by supporting local arts and organizations that focus on equality and human rights.
We can't wait to work with you! #letsmakemagic
Mónica Ceniceros
Founder, CEO
Mónica is a natural-born artist who has been creating art since she can remember. She grew up in Monterrey, MX, where she absorbed the colorful culture that is reflected in all of her work today. Mónica moved to the US with her sisters when she was just 15 years old, and after college, she rented her first art studio in East Austin to keep her passion for art alive. This made her tap into the local art scene, meeting many of the artists she works with today. Mónica also works as a marketing consultant and her experience in business development, marketing and events made her fall into the creation of atxGALS: a local women artist collective whose mission is to create more exposure and opportunities for emerging women artists. She is the vision and direction behind atxGALS + The Cathedral.
