About the Artist:
Maggie Lyon is a contemporary painter and curator based in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Maggie's journey led her to Texas State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art in 2019 with a concentration in Painting and minor in Fashion Merchandising. Her time in Austin has been spent managing art galleries, organizing art exhibitions, and exploring her painting practice. Maggie enjoys painting a variety of subjects tied together by her vibrant use of color and unique perspective; emotionally driven by her lived experiences, childhood nostalgia, and world travels.
