"Los Vigilantes are colorful spirits that embody the spirit of a culture shaped by creativity, resilience and the ability to evolve. Through vibrant colors, organic patterns, and multiple eyes, these beings symbolize the importance of preserving and passing down the stories, traditions, and contributions that define Hispanic heritage. Their many eyes represent collective memory: the ability to look to the past with gratitude for what we've inherited, and toward the future, where that legacy continues to evolve.

My work celebrates the richness of our roots while recognizing that culture is never static. It grows and transforms with each generation that embraces it, reimagines it, and shares it with others."
