About the Artist: 

Dorothy Nottingham is an artist from Central Texas. Born and raised split between city life and her family’s pecan orchards. With a deep love of the Texas landscape and culture, she’s heavily influenced by the quiet, almost frozen in time little towns surrounding her.

She studied painting and graphic design at the University of North Texas. Her early career took off in design, where she found success in the live music and event space. After ten years in the industry, she made a quiet return to personal exploration and creating for herself.

Normally working in series, she seeks to study a fleeting emotion, a reaction, or a delicate thread in a relationship. 

She is currently working from her ranch out between Rogers and Holland, TX.
