Show Statement From the Artist:
"A competitive disadvantage is an unfavorable condition, such as high costs, poor quality, or slow innovation, that causes a firm to underperform relative to industry rivals.
While GMO crops and animals are designed for high yields, these crops and herds can experience competitive disadvantages in the wild due to energetic inefficiency, while potentially driving the development of superweeds, disease, and death.
As women, we experience a competitive disadvantage placed upon us by our patriarchy. It was used as a tool to oppress and control. It, in turn, grew dissent amongst entire generations of women all over the world demanding equal rights. It thus created 2 generations of women, obsessed with independence, and the disease to be heard, attend, and lead.
However, It'll take more than Round-up and a Save Act to stop the ratification of an entire species evolution. Women don't see our evolution into equality as a disadvantage. It's strange to witness a species to control its own."
