This piece is part of a series entitled “Badditives” and is a collection of hyper-saturated colors, often including neons and non-natural tones. Each piece is named after an additive that’s become commonplace in modern food—making it “more attractive” or tasty, but is totally bad for you. “Yellow # 5” is the dye often found in neon-colored soft drinks like Mountain Dew, and many candies and processed pastries.
