This collection reflects my evolving understanding of home as a South Asian artist—something that isn’t fixed to one place, but shaped by memory, culture, and experience.

In my work, botanicals serve as my muse—an entry point to explore the emotional response we have to color, pattern, texture, and form. Influenced by my Indian American background, I’m drawn to rich, saturated color palettes, decorative patterning, and gold elements that echo the visual language I grew up around. These details find their way into my paintings in subtle and expressive ways, creating a sense of familiarity that feels both personal and collective.

The vase is an important element in my work, acting as both a structure and a symbol. It holds and brings together different elements—bold and soft, fluid and controlled—much like the way we carry layered identities and experiences. It becomes a quiet reflection of how we gather pieces of our past and present into something whole.

“Echoes of Home” speaks to that feeling of carrying home within you. It’s not always something you can define, but something you recognize—through color, form, and a sense of connection.
