"The Neon Rodeo series is an unfolding, immersive art series centered on identity, perseverance, and the search for place.

Set within a neon-lit mythic Western landscape, the series follows symbolic figures like the Silent Rider — characters navigating power, doubt, rebellion, and transformation. Through an Afro-Latino lens, Tobar reframes cowboy mythology as a metaphor for the creative journey itself.

Each exhibition builds on the last, revealing new layers of story through painting, mirrors, projection, and audio transmissions from K-RDEO 88.8 FM. The work is less about the frontier and more about the inner terrain of becoming.
