“Western art is an evolving story. It’s not just the classic iconography—John Wayne posters, Spaghetti Westerns, and Marlboro ads—but also the modern landscape where Billy Bob’s DJs Sabrina Carpenter during bull riding events. The West isn’t stuck in time; it’s remixing.

Some believe Western culture is something to be gate kept, reserved for those who’ve lived it a certain way. But there’s space for everyone in this world, even for someone like me—who just moved to TX this year and became obsessed with vintage Western comics like Kid Colt Outlaw and Gun smoke Western. Through my work, I explore these layers of the West, blending nostalgic renderings with comic-style storytelling to challenge, celebrate, and reimagine what this culture can be.”
