atxGALS’ brand new venture, The Cathedral, is set to celebrate its launch with a colorful and unique celebration on October 26th; a Dia De Los Muertos themed party combined with open bar, local bites, music performances, and a bright art display by 10 of Austin’s top emerging female artists. Come see how this talented group of ladies will transform this beautiful 1930’s church with rich color flooded pieces.

The original structure of this stunning space makes the perfect place for a Dia de los Muertos party, a colorful holiday that celebrates life. This theme is a tribute to the heritage of one of our female founders as well as to the vibrant culture of the Eastside. Glowing from the inside out, Austin’s community is sure to embrace the night’s eclectic and bright festivities.

atxGALS broke into the pop-up art party scene in 2017 with the main goal of bringing more exposure and recognition for women in art through unique, nontraditional art exhibits, all while giving back to organizations that align with women's issues and equality. Today, the GALS work with over 30 emerging women artists from Austin and have donated over $25,000 to local nonprofit organizations to include the Girls Empowerment Network, SAFE Alliance and Austin Pets Alive!  Wanting to expand the opportunities for their artists and continue giving back to the local community, the search for a brick and mortar started which then led to the birth of The Cathedral.

Friends, family, art enthusiasts and all are welcome to join atxGALS on this huge milestone, happening in the best and funkiest city in Texas. The night will kick off at 6pm and will feature DJ Diggy Dutch, live music performances, open bar with fall cocktails provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Dulce Vida Tequila, Austin Eastciders, and a vibrant art exhibit by 10 local female artists. Guests are highly encouraged to come dressed in their best festive fit. Event is ages 21+.

Tickets are now on sale, and will benefit The Girls Empowerment Network.
